            Basketball Recap: Green Hope Falcons vs. Holly Springs Golden Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            Green Hope lost against Holly Springs back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Green Hope Falcons fell  70-63 to the Holly Springs Golden Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 214th, while the Golden Hawks are ranked 30th).

 Loss or not, Green Hope got some senior leadership from  Mason Dean and  Kody Frey.  Dean  went 7 for 16  on his way to 21  points, while  Frey  posted 19  points. As a matter of fact, that's the most  points  Dean has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Adam Granai, who  had six points and five  rebounds.
Green Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Holly Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
 Green Hope and Apex Friendship will compete for holiday cheer  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Apex Friendship's favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  in their last six games. As for Holly Springs, they will host Middle Creek  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Holly Springs' favor as the  squad sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Middle Creek has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
