Baseball Recap: Unaka Comes Up Short

Unaka extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 5-17 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Johnson County Longhorns. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-0 loss back in March.

As for Johnson County, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 18th.

For Johnson County's part, Chris Wilson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits Wilson has posted since back in March.

While Unaka had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
