Soccer Game Preview: Ballantyne Ridge vs. West Mecklenburg + How To Watch

The Ballantyne Ridge Wolves will face off against the West Mecklenburg Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ballantyne Ridge has three straight wins, West Mecklenburg has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

On Monday, Ballantyne Ridge needed a bit of extra time to put away Palisades. They beat the Pumas by a goal, winning 6-5. That's two games straight that Ballantyne Ridge have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, West Mecklenburg fell victim to Hough and their airtight defense last Monday. They came up short against the Huskies, falling 13-0. While losing is never fun, West Mecklenburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while Hough are ranked 25th).

West Mecklenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12-2. As for Ballantyne Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4-2.
