Volleyball Recap: Cape Fear Christian Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Village Christian Academy

Cape Fear Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Village Christian Academy Knights on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

The final score came out to 25-16, 20-25, 25-21, 25-16.

Village Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Maxine Honrada, who had 38 digs and three aces.

Village Christian Academy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Cape Fear Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Charlotte Catholic on the 15th. As for Village Christian Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Grace Christian on the 14th.
