Volleyball Recap: Cape Fear Christian Academy Falls to Village Christian Academy in First Game of Season

Cape Fear Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Village Christian Academy Knights on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

The final score came out to 25-16, 20-25, 25-21, 25-16.

Village Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Maxine Honrada, who had 38 digs and three aces.

Village Christian Academy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Cape Fear Christian Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Charlotte Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Village Christian Academy, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Grace Christian on the 14th.
