The Lafayette Christian Cougars's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They claimed a resounding 66-35 victory over Shiloh Hills Christian at home. The score was close at the half, but Lafayette Christian pulled away in the second half with 43 points.
It was another big night for Carmen Bridges, who dropped a double-double on 41 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Lafayette Christian's points. Marta Camps was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.
Lafayette Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Shiloh Hills Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette Christian will stay at home for another game and welcome LaGrange Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully LaGrange Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Friday. As for Shiloh Hills Christian, they will be playing at home against Unity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
