On Thursday, everything went NSU University's way against South Broward as NSU University made off with a 10-3 win. Considering the Sharks have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Aidan Jacobs looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.
On the hitting side, Rocco Rovetto and Devin Mila did most of the damage at the plate: Rovetto scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Mila scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Mark Manuel, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
NSU University always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Broward only posted an OBP of .290.
Meanwhile, Dr. Krop earned a 6-3 victory over Cooper City on Wednesday.
Fernando Guerrero spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Esaul Pena, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. That run marked the first that he's scored this season.
Dr. Krop's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for NSU University, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
Dr. Krop's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: NSU University hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having hit 0 of their hits per game. It's a different story for Dr. Krop, though, as they've only hit 0 of their hits this season. Will they be able to contain NSU University's hitters?
