Huffman is on an eight-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Fairfield a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Huffman Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Fairfield Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Huffman is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Oxford on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Vikings took a blow against the Yellow Jackets, falling 55-6. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-0.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Thursday. Fairfield was outmatched by Oak Grove and fell 61-14.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Justin Murray and Wiley Hicks. Hicks had a great game and rushed for 190 yards and three scores on only six carries. Meanwhile, Murray was balling out in the loss, rushing for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Huffman, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
