If North Catholic wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Central Valley, they should've done a better job of containing Aaron Lawson. The Warriors snuck past the Trojans with a 34-28 victory on Friday with plenty of help from Lawson, who picked up 79 receiving yards, and also rushed for 45 yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles and defending two passes.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Central Valley's defense and their six sacks. North Catholic's QB won't forget Lukas Gerovac anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Central Valley got some further help from Ethan Shearer: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Central Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.
