Basketball Game Preview: Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats vs. Frederica Academy

The Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against Frederica Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Westminster Schools of Augusta challenged St. Andrew's on Tuesday. Westminster Schools of Augusta fell 62-53 to St. Andrew's. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Lions are ranked 64th).

Coastal HomeSchool typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Frederica Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Hurricanes by a score of 52-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Frederica Academy.

Westminster Schools of Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Frederica Academy, their record now sits at 13-4.

Westminster Schools of Augusta couldn't quite finish off Frederica Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 48-46. Can Westminster Schools of Augusta avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
