The matchup between Montague and Oakridge on Monday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 6-2 win. Considering Montague have won eight games by more than three goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Montague's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those four matches. As for Oakridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Montague will square off against rival Ravenna at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Montague's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Ravenna have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, Oakridge is set to challenge their familiar foe Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
