Soccer Game Preview: New Castle vs. Rushville

The New Castle Trojans will face off against the Rushville Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. New Castle's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Things were looking good for New Castle after they put the first goal on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenfield-Central. That's two games in a row now that New Castle have lost by exactly two goals.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Tuesday. Rushville came out on top in a nail-biter against KIPP Legacy, sneaking past 3-2.

New Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for Rushville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10-3.
