Softball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Desert Christian's Winning Streak

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matches, Desert Christian finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 18-0 to the Vasquez Mustangs. The game marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

With the defeat, Desert Christian broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-9. As for Vasquez, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Desert Christian will be playing at home against Santa Clarita Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.56 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Vasquez, they will head out to take on Palmdale Academy Charter School at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Jaguars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.5 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
