Baseball Recap: Mulvane Comes Up Short

If Mulvane was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Wellington on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell 7-4 to the Crusaders on Monday. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 8-2.

Mulvane's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-2. As for Wellington, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mulvane will challenge Buhler at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wellington, they will take on Augusta on Thursday. The Crusaders are facing the Orioles at the right time seeing as the Orioles are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
