Soccer Recap: Quincy Comes Up Short

Quincy and Sturgis pushed the score to 8-0 the last time they played Sturgis, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Orioles fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, Quincy's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Quincy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Sturgis, they moved to 4-8-1 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Quincy and Sturgis will both be playing Parchment the next time they take the pitch. The Trojans will head out to face the Panthers at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Orioles will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
