Volleyball Recap: Fort Lupton Takes a Loss

Fort Lupton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Forge Christian Fury. If the Bluedevils were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Fury when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fort Lupton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-19.

Sebastian Gallegos paced Fort Lupton's offense, picking up 15 kills. Gallegos got some help from Aaron Encinia and his 22 assists. Encinia was also solid from the service line: he led the team with eight aces.

Forge Christian found their leader in sophomore Seth Davies, who had nine digs and three aces.

Fort Lupton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Forge Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11.

Fort Lupton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Mountain View on the 10th. As for Forge Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Severance on the 9th.
