Baseball Game Preview: Hugo Buffaloes vs. Kingston Redskins

The Hugo Buffaloes will face off against the Kingston Redskins at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Hugo and three for Kingston.

Things were looking good for Hugo after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 10-3 to Durant.

Maliki Gillean was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Hugo is 2-1 when Gillean posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Logan Allen also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Kingston didn't have quite enough to beat Lindsay on Thursday and fell 6-5.

Kingston saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Seeney, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Kingston now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Hugo, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Hugo skirted past Kingston 10-9 when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Does Hugo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kingston turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
