Baseball Recap: Temple Wildcats vs. Harker Heights Knights
Temple extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 7-19-1 in the process. They came up short against the Harker Heights Knights, falling 8-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since March 6th.
As for Harker Heights, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-6-1. Eight seems to be a good number for they as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
For Harker Heights' part, Cooper Reaves made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave Reaves a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
