Southridge takes loss despite strong efforts from O'cien Valdes and Rey Daniels

Recap: Southridge Spartans vs. Dillard Panthers

The Southridge Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dillard. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southridge has scored all season.

Southridge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rey Daniels, who scored 14 points, and O'cien Valdes who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was DeAndre Hardy, who scored five points along with five rebounds.

Southridge has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Dillard, they pushed their record up to 4-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Southridge will face off against South Plantation at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. South Plantation has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 256 points over their last four matches. As for Dillard, they will face off against Coral Gables at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Coral Gables is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.6 points per game.
