Softball Game Preview: Madison Southern Eagles vs. Pulaski County Maroons

The Madison Southern Eagles will square off against the Pulaski County Maroons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Madison Southern has seven straight wins, Pulaski County has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Madison Southern earned a 13-9 victory over Lexington Catholic.

The team relied heavily on Taylor Reeves, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2025. Lexie Keener was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Madison Southern always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Pulaski County's offense. They fell just short of Southwestern by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Maroons were not able to get on the board.

Madison Southern's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Pulaski County, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.
