Basketball Recap: Loveland Classical Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Loveland Classical played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Liberty Common Eagles and fell 69-31. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-14.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wyatt Carman, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Lincoln McFadden, who earned nine points in addition to six boards and three blocks.

Liberty Common's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Solen Castillo, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. Those 16 points gave Castillo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Clay, who went 8-for-15 on his way to 19 points along with six steals and five boards.

Loveland Classical now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Liberty Common, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Loveland Classical will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Estes Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Liberty Common, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Yuma at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
