Recap: Heritage Eagles vs. Legend Titans
The Heritage Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 66-44 loss at the hands of Legend. Heritage was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Heritage's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Atticus Schroeder, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Winkler, who scored four points.
It was another big night for Carson Flowers, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five assists for Legend. Another player making a difference was Seth Whitehead, who scored 11 points.
Heritage has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Legend, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8.
Heritage won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. One thing working in Chaparral's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
