Football Recap: Healdsburg Greyhounds vs. Terra Linda Trojans

Healdsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 28-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Terra Linda Trojans. The Greyhounds lost against the Trojans in their previous head to head back in September of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-19 score last time.

Nova Perrill Ii rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Max Morris was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Frank Rea made five total tackles and defended a pass.

Michael Graham was a one-man wrecking crew for Terra Linda as he rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Graham was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.

Healdsburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Terra Linda, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Healdsburg will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Archie Williams at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st. As for Terra Linda, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Piner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Piner is coming into the game with four straight wins at home, so Terra Linda will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
