Preview: Presidio Blue Devils vs. Alpine Bucks
The Presidio Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the Alpine Bucks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Presidio, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 41-27 loss to Stanton. Presidio has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Alpine entered their tilt with Kermit with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Alpine walked away with a 52-44 victory over Kermit on Tuesday.
Alpine's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karolina Castillo, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Novah Carrasco, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Presidio's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Alpine, they pushed their record up to 7-14 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Presidio lost to Alpine on the road by a decisive 50-35 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Castillo, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
