Softball Recap: Glenwood Takes a Loss

After flying high against Montgomery Academy last Thursday, Glenwood came back down to earth. The Glenwood Gators came up short against the Smiths Station Panthers on Monday, falling 9-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-5 back in February.

Glenwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clara Crisco, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Glenwood has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. The win snapped Smiths Station's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-10-1 record.

Coincidentally, Glenwood and Smiths Station will both be playing Beulah the next time they take the field. Glenwood will head out to face Beulah at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Smiths Station will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
