Basketball Recap: Crete Takes a Loss

Crete lost against Blair back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The game between the Crete Cardinals and the Blair Bears didn't end well, with the Crete Cardinals falling 54-37. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blair's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addie Sullivan, who posted 14 points. Cadence Field was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Crete's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Blair, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crete has already played their next matchup (against Elkhorn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Blair won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Harlan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harlan will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Blair surely won't give up without a fight.
