After a string of four wins, Graham's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hereford Whitefaces. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Steers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 545th, while the Whitefaces are ranked 1231st).

Graham's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Hereford, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-8.

Graham will be home for the holidays to greet Iowa Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hereford, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 50-36 victory against Bowie on the 13th.
