After a string of five wins, Grant's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the McClatchy Lions, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 2nd.

While Grant was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into McClatchy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 25-23.

Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for McClatchy, they pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Grant will square off against rival Kennedy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, McClatchy is set to face off against their familiar foe Antelope at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
