Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles vs. Arrowhead Christian Eagles
The Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles entered their tilt with the Arrowhead Christian Eagles with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Capistrano Valley Christian breezed by Arrowhead Christian on the road to the tune of 45-6. The result was nothing new for Capistrano Valley Christian, who have now won six matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for JP Synnott, who rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Nate Richie, who threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes.
Despite the loss, Arrowhead Christian still got an impressive performance from Caden Rossi, who rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown.
Capistrano Valley Christian's win was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 8-2 Capistrano Valley Christian and 7-3 Linfield Christian (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62% over those games). As for Arrowhead Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Capistrano Valley Christian will take on Beckman at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Arrowhead Christian, they have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Arroyo at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Arroyo will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
