Baseball Recap: Nottoway Takes a Loss

If Nottoway was riding high fresh off their 14-5 takedown of Cumberland on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell 4-1 to the Buckingham Knights on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-3 back in April.

Nottoway saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Hamilton, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Nottoway's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Buckingham, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Nottoway will challenge rival Amelia County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Buckingham is set to face off against their familiar foe Prince Edward County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
