The Schlarman Hilltoppers will square off against the Danville Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Schlarman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Schlarman took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Milford.
Miles Crosby made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.
In other batting news, Jerrius Atkinson was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Princeton Rush was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
Schlarman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-2 to Richwoods.
The win got Schlarman back to even at 3-3. As for Danville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
