Easley takes loss despite strong efforts from Ethan Crews and Drey Jackson

Recap: Easley Green Wave vs. Wren Hurricanes
The Easley Green Wave pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wren. Easley has struggled against Wren recently, as their game on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Drey Jackson and Ethan Crews certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Jackson scored 21 points along with five assists and five steals, while Crews scored 18 points. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of RJ Stack, who scored six points.
Easley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Wren, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Easley will head out on the road to face off against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wren won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd.
