Soccer Recap: Sumter's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Sumter, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Wilson Hall Barons on Friday. That's more bragging rights for Sumter, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Caiden Perez and Nathan Brown scored both of Sumter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Sumter moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Wilson Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Sumter will be playing at home against Blythewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilson Hall, they are taking a road trip to challenge Florence Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
