Baseball Recap: Shadow Mountain Comes Up Short

If Shadow Mountain was feeling good fresh off their 16-4 takedown of Cortez last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Shadow Mountain Matadors came up short against the Agua Fria Owls on Thursday, falling 13-3.

Shadow Mountain saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Forkum, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Shadow Mountain dropped their record down to 2-3-1 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Agua Fria, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Shadow Mountain will welcome Mingus at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Shadow Mountain is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season. As for Agua Fria, they will head out to face off against Goldwater at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
