Basketball Recap: Taft Drops Highest Score of Season Against Edison

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Taft). They took down the Edison Tigers 88-70 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

It was another big night for Ernie Laulu, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 14 boards. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of David Magana, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 assists.

Taft was working as a unit and finished the game with 27 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Taft's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Edison, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Taft wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-46 defeat against Paraclete on the 12th. As for Edison, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 84-39 victory against West on the 12th.
