Football Recap: Waccamaw Comes Up Short

Waccamaw and Hanahan squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Waccamaw had to settle for second. They lost to the Hawks on the road by a 38-21 margin. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Hanahan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Snodgrass, who rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns. Snodgrass is becoming a predictor of the Hawks' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Tripp Gallus was another key signal caller, throwing for 133 yards and three TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes.

Waccamaw's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Hanahan, they now also have a winning record of 6-5.

Waccamaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hanahan, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 41-21 defeat against Newberry on the 14th.
