Football Recap: Hayden Tigers vs. Norwood Mavericks
Hayden kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norwood Mavericks. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mavericks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.
Hayden's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Carson Campbell and Ethan Silva. Campbell didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles and defended three passes in addition to snagging two interceptions.
Hayden will head out to face off against Sargent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Norwood, they will venture away from home to take on Vail Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
