Babylon came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pierson/Bridgehampton Whalers a 14-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-6 back in April.

Babylon pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for Pierson/Bridgehampton, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, Babylon will square off against Center Moriches at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pierson/Bridgehampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
