Basketball Recap: North Miami Triumphs

North Miami hadn't done well against Argos recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The North Miami Warriors secured a 67-63 W over the Argos Dragons. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 60-44 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Argos' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mack Calhoun, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Calhoun a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Kenyan Beldon, who posted five points in addition to nine assists and six rebounds.

North Miami's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Argos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

North Miami will square off against North Judson-San Pierre at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Argos, they will face off against Oregon-Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Argos is facing Oregon-Davis at the right time seeing as Oregon-Davis is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
