Recap: Alvin Yellowjackets vs. Shadow Creek Sharks
The Alvin Yellowjackets lost against the Shadow Creek Sharks back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Alvin took a serious blow against Shadow Creek, falling 54-22. Alvin has not had much luck with Shadow Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Kyndall Drones was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaniyah Lankford, who scored eight points.
Alvin has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season. As for Shadow Creek, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-10.
Alvin will head out on the road to face off against Alief Elsik at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alief Elsik is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Shadow Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dawson at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Dawson is ranked 119th, while Shadow Creek is ranked 121st).
