Preview: Trinity Celtics vs. Medicine Lodge Indians
The Trinity Celtics will head out on the road to face off against the Medicine Lodge Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Trinity can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They took down Plainville 25-6. The victory was just what Trinity needed coming off of a 41-6 defeat in their prior matchup.
Eric Armour was a one-man wrecking crew for Trinity as he rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 51 receiving yards. Armour was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
Trinity's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Matthew Mcconnaughy and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Medicine Lodge never let their opponents score on Friday. They claimed a resounding 32-0 win over Oakley at home. The victory was nothing new for Medicine Lodge as they're now sitting on five straight.
Trinity's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Medicine Lodge, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2.
Trinity couldn't quite finish off Medicine Lodge in their previous matchup back in October and fell 16-14. Can Trinity avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
