Football Game Preview: Platte Canyon Huskies vs. Forge Christian Fury

The Platte Canyon Huskies will square off against the Forge Christian Fury at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Platte Canyon's offense might be in the hot seat on Saturday considering what happened against Flatirons Academy on Friday. They were dealt a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Bison. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Huskies haven't been shut out since back in September.

Meanwhile, Forge Christian entered their tilt with Flatirons Academy two weeks ago with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed past the Bison to the tune of 51-7. The result was nothing new for the Fury, who have now won five matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Platte Canyon better keep an eye on Quentin Torres. He was instrumental in Forge Christian's win, rushing for 50 yards and three TDs, while also picking up 95 receiving yards and one touchdown. Torres really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards.

Forge Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 312 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Platte Canyon dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Forge Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
