Volleyball Recap: Connersville Comes Up Short

Connersville was the 3-1 winner over Eastern Hancock when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans lost 3-0 to the Royals on Thursday.

While Connersville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-9, 25-15.

Kendyl Bottomley paced Connersville's offense, picking up ten kills. Bottomley got some help from Keagan Ritter and her 14 assists.

Connersville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Eastern Hancock, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Connersville is taking a road trip to square off against Seton Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastern Hancock, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Daleville on the 23rd.
