Recap: Harker Heights Knights vs. Alief Hastings Bears
On Friday, Harker Heights didn't have too much trouble with Alief Hastings on the road as they won 60-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Harker Heights.
Despite the loss, Alief Hastings still got an impressive performance from Amyah Weathersby, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Weathersby's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Melinda Winston, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals.
Harker Heights' win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Alief Hastings, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
Harker Heights is on the road again on Saturday and play against Dickinson at 12:30 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Alief Hastings, they will square off against Lake Creek at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Lake Creek will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
