Beaver River has gone 9-1 against South Lewis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Beavers will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Beaver River's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so South Lewis' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Beaver River barely beat General Brown the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Beavers were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Lions on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Beavers.

Ayshur Gerow made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over 6.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Beaver River is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Gerow was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Samuel Miller was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Karter Kloster, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
Meanwhile, South Lewis was able to grind out a solid win over Carthage on Wednesday, taking the game 13-9. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won three in a row.
The team relied heavily on Thomas Spann, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Gauge Hartley, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
South Lewis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
The win got Beaver River back to even at 3-3. As for South Lewis, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Beaver River came out on top in a nail-biter against South Lewis when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Beavers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
