Linden had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 5-7 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Kearsley Hornets. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 7-2 victory the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

As for Kearsley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7. The game snapped a strange streak: the last three times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

For Kearsley's part, Isaiah Gatica was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was Gatica's first of the season.

Coming up, Kearsley will challenge North Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Linden will be paying especially close attention to the Hornets' contest: after the Hornets face off against the Raiders, they'll take on Linden again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
