Football Game Preview: Santee Warriors vs. Grand Island Lutheran Lightning

The Santee Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Grand Island Lutheran Lightning on Friday. Santee's offense hasn't had much luck over their past six games, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Santee is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were outmatched by Shelton and fell 67-7.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed six in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Payton Ferguson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Grand Island Lutheran played against Ansley/Litchfield on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Santee's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Grand Island Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Santee couldn't quite finish off Grand Island Lutheran in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 54-52. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
