Volleyball Recap: Webb Comes Up Short

Webb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heritage Mountaineers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Heritage scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Brylee Condee, who had 11 assists and six digs.

Webb's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Heritage, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Webb will square off against Farragut at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heritage, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against King's Academy on the 26th.
