Softball Recap: Riverside Gets the Win

Riverside lost to Bellefontaine back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Riverside narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Bellefontaine 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

The team relied heavily on Emilee Robinson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Miah Carman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Robinson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Riverside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Riverside's record is now 3-1. As for Bellefontaine, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will host Fort Loramie at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bellefontaine, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Beavercreek at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
