Softball Recap: Temecula Valley Takes a Loss

Temecula Valley lost against Chaparral back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Golden Bears took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pumas. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avery DePauw was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyomi Simental, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Temecula Valley's record is now 6-10. As for Chaparral, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-13.

While Temecula Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
